Vote for boys: El Paso Children's Hospital high school male athlete for Nov. 3-8

With the 2025-26 high school sports season ongoing, the El Paso Times will give readers a chance to vote to identify El Paso’s top athletes.

This week, readers can vote for which El Paso Times‘ El Paso Children’s Hospital high school male athlete had the best performance in football.

Here are this week’s nominees:

  • Andruw Andujo, Austin football. In win vs. San Elizario, he rushed for 206 yards, passed for 52 yards and had 88 yards receiving. He ran for a touchdown.
  • Austin Deucher, Hanks football. Deucher rushed for 321 yards and four touchdowns in 52-50 loss to Chapin.
  • Abraham Barraza, Horizon football. In win vs. Jefferson, he caught five passes for 121 yards.
  • Leaf DeWitt, Chapin football. DeWitt intercepted three passes, ran one of them back for a score, had one other pass breakup and three tackles in win vs. Hanks.
  • Derek Armendariz, Riverside football. In win vs. Fabens, he had 113 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
  • Damian Briano, Montwood football. In win vs. Socorro, he threw eight touchdown passes.
  • Isaac Anaya, Socorro football. In loss to Montwood, he had four rushing touchdowns and two touchdown passes.
  • Ethan Rivera, Eastlake football. In win vs. Coronado, he caught 12 passes for 195 yards and had a TD catch.
