Jaxon Richardson, one of the nation’s top wings in the 2026 class and the son of former NBA star Jason Richardson, has committed to Alabama.

The 6-foot-6 Southeastern Prep (Fla.) standout chose the Crimson Tide over Creighton, Ole Miss and USC, he told ESPN.

Richardson, a four-star recruit, is ranked No. 21 overall by 247Sports, as the 7th best small forward in the class. He said his long-standing relationship with coach Nate Oats and assistant Preston Murphy played a major role. “They have been there since my freshman year,” he told ESPN, adding that Alabama’s up-tempo, analytical style “fits my game.”

Richardson becomes Alabama’s third top‑35 pledge in the 2026 class, strengthening a group now projected to rise into the national top 10.
