Alabama reveals 2026 number changes, freshmen & transfer numbers

With the start of 2026 spring practice only days away, the Alabama Crimson Tide football program has revealed not only the numbers for their incoming freshmen and transfer portal class, but also some number changes for multiple returning players as well.

Among those number changes are some prominent members of Alabama's roster, one of which is also undergoing a name change as well. That player is star wide receiver Ryan Williams, who is not only changing his number from No. 2 to No. 1, but will also now go by Ryan Coleman-Williams, per Yea Alabama.

Also among the returning players who are changing numbers this season are the likes of Lotzeir Brooks and Kevin Riley on offense, as well as Yhonzae Pierre and Red Morgan defensively.

Following is a look at number changes for the Crimson Tide in 2026, along with numbers for Alabama's new roster additions.
