Texas A&M’s future linebacker rotation will be in limbo after the 2026 season, as coach Mike Elko and new linebackers coach Travis Williams will need to replace senior Daymion Sanford and transfer LB Ray Coney, who are both expected to start for the Aggies this fall. While sophomore Noah Mikhail is expected to crack the rotation this season, the California native could end up being the face of the linebacker rotation in 2027.
However, Elko signed four linebackers in the 2026 class, including DaQuives Beck, Tank King, and Storm Miller, who will contend for starting/rotational spots after the 2026 campaign. In the 2027 class, the Aggies have already received a prediction to land blue-chip four-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, who released his final program list on Friday afternoon.
Going into Florida with the intention of landing the future star defender, Travis Williams, is already making a significant impact on the recruiting trail and has secured Henderson for an official visit to College Station this summer on June 5, hoping to lock down his commitment sooner rather than later.
Late last month, Rivals insider Chad Simmons revealed that Ohio State and Texas A&M are the top two programs Henderson will consider, while Florida State, Florida, Alabama, and the Miami Hurricanes are also teams slightly in the mix.
While fellow Rivals recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong is confident the Aggies will secure his commitment, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami, and Alabama join Texas A&M as Henderson’s five finalists before he takes his official visits in the coming months.
