NORMAN — Oklahoma football picked up its third 2027 commitment of the day Saturday.

Four-star safety Jaylen Scott chose the Sooners over Florida, Georgia and Tennessee, he told On3/Rivals. The 6-foot, 175-pound prospect from Williamson High School in Mobile, Alabama, is a consensus top-250 player nationally.

Scott’s commitment follows three-star offensive lineman Tyson Ross and four-star quarterback Jamison Roberts’ pledges earlier Saturday.

The commitments came during OU’s massive “Future Freaks” recruiting weekend as the program is hosting over 30 recruits.

Scott is the first safety to commit to the class, which ranks third nationally in Rivals’ team recruiting rankings.
