The OU Board of Regents officially approved the contracts for new football assistant coaches during its Tuesday meeting.
New running backs coach Deland McCullough will make $625,000 this season and his contract runs through the 2028 season. Cornerbacks coach LaMar Morgan will make $400,000 this season and is signed through the 2027 season.
McCullough joined the Sooners after spending last season with the Las Vegas Raiders, while Morgan comes to OU following two seasons as defensive backs coach at Michigan.
Here’s a breakdown of their salaries:
OU running backs coach Deland McCullough’s contract
- 2026 season: $625,000
- 2027 season: $825,000
- 2028 season: $950,000
Performance bonuses include $90,000 for winning the CFP National Championship.
OU cornerbacks coach LaMar Morgan’s contract
- 2026 season: $400,000
- 2027 season: $1.05 million
Performance bonuses include $90,000 for winning the CFP National Championship.
