Scouting Report

Feeney has been prolific as a three-year starter for Moorhead. Last season, in the Spuds’ first year of 6A divisiona football, he threw for 2,221 yards and 27 touchdowns, adding to a career total that now stands at 7,827 passing yards and 104 touchdowns. Feeney’s calling cards as a quarterback are his pocket presence and accuracy, but he also has a high football I.Q. Minnesota offensive coordinator Greg Harbaugh Jr. places a premium on a quarterback’s processing power, and Feeney seems to fit that bill. He also has good size and athleticism, even if he may not have the speed to be a true dual-threat quarterback. Feeney’s biggest challenge at the next level will be overcoming his lack of elite arm strength and continuing to improve his reads and progressions.
