As the Florida Gators and Jon Sumrall continue spring practice, the program secured a massive signing for it’s 2027 recruiting class. Cottondale High School standout and four-star recruit Tramond Collins re-committed to the Florida Gators football program on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-2-inch, 183-pound athlete from North Florida de-committed in December, originally pledging under Billy Napier. After reopening his commitment, Collins ultimately decided to return to Gainesville.

In his junior campaign, Collins showed elite versatility, securing 41 carries, 600 yards and nine touchdowns from the backfield. He also tallied 36 receptions for 613 yards and five touchdowns split out wide, demonstrating the kind of dual-threat playmaking ability that made him one of the most sought-after athletes in the nation.

A multi-sport athlete, Collins brings with him elite speed. The Cottondale native recently posted 10.84 in the 100-meter dash, a time that further demonstrates his dynamic athleticism.

The signing marks a surge in recruitment under Jon Sumrall’s regime. With his allegiance, Collins joins four-star tight end Jackson Ballinger and four-star cornerback Amare Nugent in a class that continues to rouse Gator Nation.
