2027 Indianapolis safety names Tennessee football in top six schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.
Four-star safety Kaleb Elkins named Tennessee in his top six schools, along with Indiana, Vanderbilt, Ohio State, Missouri and Oregon, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect is from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. Warren Central is home to 2026 Tennessee defensive line signee JJ Finch.
247Sports ranks Elkins as the No. 27 safety in the class and No. 4 player in Indiana.
Tennessee offered Elkins a scholarship on April 24, 2025. He unofficially visited for the Vols’ football game against Georgia on Sept. 13, 2025.
Kent State was the first school to offer Elkins a scholarship. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Bowling Green, Toledo, Purdue, Kentucky, Alabama, Marshall, Louisville, Arizona State, Kansas, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Maryland, Penn State, Oklahoma State and Michigan.
Tennessee has four commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, defensive lineman Kadin Fife and quarterback Derrick Baker.
