The Oregon Ducks already have five commits as part of their 2027 class and are looking to add another in four-star cornerback Danny Lang, who officially released his commitment date on Thursday.

Lang, the No. 12 cornerback and No. 104 player overall according to 247 Sports Composite, will announce his commitment on March 21, per On3's Hayes Fawcett. The Mater Dei High School product will choose between Oregon, Auburn and USC.

Three weeks ago, Lang scheduled an official visit to Oregon on June 19, also scheduling official visits to both Auburn (June 5) and USC (June 12). The 11th-ranked player in California, Lang had a bevy of offers but has narrowed it down to three and is nearing a decision prior to making official visits to those three programs.

Lang's presence in the Ducks' 2027 recruiting class would be paramount, as they currently don't have a cornerback commit and have just two defenders: four-star edge rusher Cameron Pritchett and three-star linebacker Sam Ngata. With the help of a trio of three-star offensive players, Oregon's 2027 class is slotted at No. 15 in the nation.

Per 247 Sports, Rashad Wadood and Chris Hampton have been the main recruiters of Lang, who totaled 33 tackles, two interceptions and three forced fumbles in 11 games as a sophomore. Considering the all-around talent at Mater Dei, Lang contributing as an underclassmen shouldn't be understated.

The addition of Lang, who stands 6-foot and 160 pounds, would boost Oregon's recruiting ranking and add to the loads of talent already in the cornerback room.
