One of the top players on the Oregon Ducks' 2027 recruiting board announced his college commitment on Friday night, fresh off a visit to Eugene to check out Dan Lanning's program. Four-star defensive lineman Zane Rowe, the No. 9 DL and No. 93 player in the 2027 class, per 247 Sports Composite, announced his commitment to Oregon.
The Denton, TX, native chose the Ducks over North Carolina, Oklahoma and Washington. The Huskies were seen as a prime competitor for Rowe's talents, but the Ducks did some work over the past week and were able to land him a visit in Eugene and eventually secure his commitment.
Rowe competes for Denton Guyer High School, where he's the 13th-ranked player in the state of Texas.

Standing 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds, Rowe has the necessarily speed and strength to play at the college level and contribute along the Oregon defensive line.
Earlier in the week, Rowe spoke on the pros of potentially landing with a program like Oregon.
"They have great development," Rowe said. "They have two DE going in the first round and another coming back for his senior year, so the depth chart is playing a big role. They’re recruiting my family and me, and came to visit me at school and showed my parents and me the plan. They showed their track record with Texas guys like Dakorien Moore. For them to come to DFW and then go play in Eugene, that’s the furthest you can go from Texas, so if you have success and thrive there, it’s a big deal to me."
With his commitment, the Ducks now have three defensive players in their 2027 class, with Rowe joining four-star edge Cameron Pritchett and three-star linebacker Sam Ngata.
