The Oregon Ducks landed their sixth commitment of the 2027 class on Friday night, with 4-star defensive lineman Zane Rowe announcing his pledge to the Ducks.

Rowe, the No. 93 player in the nation and No. 9 DL in the 2027 class, chose the Ducks over the likes of the Washington Huskies, Oklahoma Sooners, and North Carolina Tar Heels. For much of his recruitment, he has been considered a lean towards the Huskies, but after taking a visit to Eugene this past week, he decided to shut things down and commit to the Ducks.

Rowe is the second player out of Texas to join Oregon during this cycle, alongside 4-star running back CaDarius McMiller.

Now, with the addition of Rowe, Oregon has jumped into the top 10 of the 2027 recruiting rankings, sitting at No. 8. They are closely behind the Huskies and the Louisville Cardinals. The next months should be pretty busy on the recruiting front, with several visits taking place, and a handful of commitments expected to fall, many potentially in favor of the Ducks.
