7 Best College Football Win Total Bets at FanDuel for 2026

College football’s 2026 season is still months away, but with spring practice underway and the bulk of the roster movement completed, it’s never too early to take a peek at how the upcoming year could play out. A big part of every offseason is the release of over/under win totals at various sportsbooks, which help to frame the early tiers and power rankings in each conference and in the national top 25.

On Friday, FanDuel released its first win totals for the ‘26 season for power conference teams and several early numbers are intriguing. Notre Dame (11.5) and Texas Tech (11.5) were the highest totals on the board, with Oregon, Indiana, and Miami up next at 10.5. No team from the SEC was projected higher than 9.5, likely as a result of the league moving to nine-conference games this fall.

Which win totals caught our attention on the first release from FanDuel? Athlon Sports picks seven with early value:

Pre-Spring Power Rankings: Top 25 | ACC | Big 12 | Big Ten | SEC

Houston over 7.5
Quarterback Conner Weigman headlines 12 returning starters off a team that won 10 games last year for coach Willie Fritz. The Cougars ranked No. 19 in Athlon’s pre-spring top 25 and should be one of the top contenders to play in the Big 12 title game. Even though Fritz’s team has five road tests in Big 12 play, the total 7.5 is a little low for a team returning the bulk of its core and led by one of the top coaches in the conference.

Georgia over 9.5
The margin for error on this one is small since Georgia has to go 10-2 with matchups against Oklahoma, Alabama (road), Ole Miss (road), and South Carolina (road) on the ‘26 slate. However, the Bulldogs have not lost more than two games in the regular season since coach Kirby Smart’s debut in ‘16.

Wisconsin under 6.5
The Badgers catch a favorable draw by missing Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon, and Michigan in a make-or-break season for coach Luke Fickell. However, the schedule still features a neutral site game against Notre Dame (Green Bay), road trips to Penn State, Maryland, UCLA, and Iowa, along with matchups in Madison against USC and Minnesota. Wisconsin landed a solid transfer portal haul, so improvement off a 4-8 season and perhaps a return to the postseason seems likely. However, considering the roster questions and new faces stepping into key roles, reaching seven wins might be too steep of a climb.

Oklahoma over 7.5
Getting back to the College Football Playoff might be a tough assignment for the Sooners. However, coach Brent Venables should push the right buttons to keep the defense near the top of the SEC. Also, the offense is due to improve with another offseason for quarterback John Mateer to develop, along with an improved supporting cast from the portal. The nine-game SEC slate makes the climb to 8-4 or 9-3 more challenging. With an improved offense likely in ‘26, Oklahoma should at least eclipse the over on 7.5.

Ohio State over 9.5
The Buckeyes have a tough slate in ‘26 with road treks to Texas, Iowa, Indiana, USC, and Nebraska, along with home dates versus Oregon and Michigan. However, under coach Ryan Day’s watch, Ohio State has never won fewer than 10 games in the regular season. Bet on the talent of the Buckeyes finding a way to get to 10-2 or 11-1 again.

NC State over 6.5
The Wolfpack have holes to fill on both sides of the ball, but coach Dave Doeren’s squad returns one of the ACC’s top quarterbacks in junior CJ Bailey. The schedule is manageable too. A home date against Louisville on Oct. 3 might be the only top-25 team NC State meets in ‘26. Expect plenty of toss-up matchups in the ACC, but early odds favor the Wolfpack finding a way to at least seven victories.

Florida State under 6.5
The Seminoles have several toss-up games in a crucial season for coach Mike Norvell. Improving on last year’s five-win total to 6-6 is a reasonable expectation. However, even after a heavy portal overhaul, the roster isn’t drastically better and question marks remain about the potential of a revamped quarterback room. Considering the roster concerns, along with the overall cloud of uncertainty hanging over this staff, betting on the under at 6.5 is an easy call.
