So far for Notre Dame, its ranking inside the College Football Playoff and both major polls have mirrored each other.

Last week the Irish were ranked as the No. 10 team in the CFP, No. 10 in both the US LBM Coaches Poll and the AP Poll. This week, Notre Dame moved up in both polls and did the same in the College Football Playoff rankings that were announced on Tuesday night.

The biggest mover this ranking was Texas Tech, whose head coach is bitter about the Irish being independent. The Red Raiders moved up two spots, jumping Ole Miss after beating previous unbeaten BYU this past weekend. The Cougars saw the biggest drop inside the top-12, as they dropped five spots to No. 12.

Miami and USC both made a jump, No. 15 and No. 17 respectively. Notre Dame opponent for this weekend, Pittsburgh, came in as the No. 22 team, moving up two spots from last week.

It’s going to be a very interesting final few weeks of the college football season, and all eyes will be on who will make the CFP, and right now it looks like the Irish are firmly in.
