A high-level in-state athlete prospect in the 2027 class will reportedly take an official visit to Michigan State in late May.
Don Spillers of Detroit will reportedly visit Michigan State in late May, according to Corey Robinson of 247Sports. Per Robinson's report, he will take his official visit to Michigan State on May 29.
Spillers, who plays for powerhouse Martin Luther King High, is listed as a three-star athlete, with a recruiting rating of 87 in 247Sports' system. He is ranked as the No. 55 athlete and No. 13 player from Michigan in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. He is also listed as the No. 731 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State is one of 15 schools to extend an offer to Spillers, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Michigan, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Western Michigan and Southern Miss.
At this time, Michigan State is the first known school to lock in an official visit with Spillers. It appears that the Spartans are the early leader in the clubhouse for his commitment, but we will see how things shake out over the next few months.
