As Longhorns football continues to look for ways to improve its 2027 class, it has set its eyes on tight end Brock Williams. The four-star recruit will be in Austin on Sunday afternoon for an official visit after playing in the OT7 7on7 tournament in Dallas. With Williams on campus, Steve Sarkisian and his staff will look to show him why Texas is the best place to start his college career.
While adding the four-star recruit would give the offense a boost, the Longhorns are not the only team in the mix. He has also received offers from Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Michigan, Oregon, and Nebraska. The heavy interest comes as no surprise given how Williams is viewed by scouts.

Currently, the Libertyville High School star is ranked as the fourth-best tight end in his class by 247Sports. They also rank him as the fifth-best player from Illinois and the 94th-best player in the nation. Due to his play, Williams got to shine at the Polynesian Bowl.
The Longhorns' recruiting target burst onto the scene during the 2024 campaign, when he was a human highlight reel. As a sophomore, Williams hauled in 35 receptions for 608 yards. He also found the end zone seven times and thrived regardless of the opponent. That is partly why he is drawing interest from some of the top programs in the nation.

If Williams were to commit to Texas, he would be part of a recruiting class that is already held in high regard. The Longhorns' 2027 class is ranked 11th in the nation by 247Sports. It includes two four-star recruits in wide receiver Easton Royal and EDGE Cameron Hall. They will be key pieces in bringing a title to Austin.
With no commitment date set, Williams will be a player to watch as he narrows down his options.
