Notre Dame hosting Oklahoma commit this weekend in hopes of a flip

There is no stone unturned for Notre Dame football’s recruiting efforts, and this weekend will be no different.
The Irish will host 2027 running back Keldrid Ben, a 5-foot, 10-inch and 208-pounder who is currently committed to Oklahoma. The Texas native opted for the Sooners in December of last year, but the 247Sports No. 142 overall prospect might be looking to play elsewhere.
In a report by On3 (subscription required), Ben has been speaking with multiple schools, but this will be his first visit since committing to Oklahoma. His social media is extremely pro-Sooners, but with them switching running back coaches, it’s opened the door for the Irish.
Notre Dame will have plenty of reasons why Ben should flip, two obvious ones in Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price, who both will be selected fairly early in the 2026 NFL draft. Kyren Williams is also a great example, as there have been more than a few former Irish backs excelling in The League.
This could be the first of many visits for Ben or it could be the last. it will be very telling following this weekend what direction he’s leaning, but the good news is that Notre Dame has a foot in the door to flip the 4-star back.
