Beechwood 2027 QB Emmett Queen chooses Power 5 football college

Beechwood junior quarterback Emmett Queen announced on March 23 that he had committed to play at football at Wake Forest.
Queen, ranked a three-star recruit by 247Sports, was the starting quarterback for the Tigers in 2025 after spending his sophomore season at Covington Catholic and freshman year at Elder.
The 6-foot-4 quarterback led Beechwood to an 11-2 record this season, falling 41-40 to Owensboro Catholic in the Class 2A semifinals.

Queen was 150-of-210 passing for 2,710 yards and 39 touchdowns to just two interceptions. He also ran for six touchdowns.
Queen had just recently visited and received an offer from Wake Forest. He chose the Demon Deacon over offers from schools like, Kentucky, Miami, Toledo, Arizona State and a number of Ivy League programs among others.
