Longhorns Daily News: Texas’ Steve Sarkisian says 2026 RBs will make SEC defenders miss

Texas football wasn’t at its best at the time, but nonetheless, the program was once again spoiled at the running back position during the three seasons in which Bijan Robinson racked up video game-like numbers for, at first, former head coach Tom Herman and then Steve Sarkisian during the latter’s first year at the helm for Texas.
Sarkisian even admits Texas lacked as much in 2025.
“The ability to make a guy miss in tight quarters in the open field is something we had the luxury of the first few years here,” Sarkisian said, according to Sports Illustrated. “We were very fortunate to have that aspect of our team the first four years here that maybe we didn’t have a year ago.”
And, as Sarkisian noted, that seems liable to change in the coming months.
