Adam Bradford revisits Week 11 Big Ten football game predictions

Last week, I attempted to pick every Big Ten football game in Week 11 of the college football season. After getting just one game wrong in each of the past three weeks, it was going to be tough to try and replicate my recent performances, but I certainly gave it my best effort.

So how did my picks fare? Let's take a look and see:

USC over Northwestern (Friday)

"I learned my lesson from last week, and will not be picking against the Trojans again. Now please do not embarrass me by losing to Northwestern at home."

Shoutout to the Trojans for coming through for me this week.

Record: 1-0

Indiana over Penn State

"There was a brief time when it looked like this could be a massive game in the Big Ten. Instead, it looks like Penn State will be Indiana's latest victim."

This game was way closer than I thought it would be, but somehow, the Hoosiers found a way to win it.

Record: 2-0

Ohio State over Purdue

"You know the 'hydrogen bomb vs. coughing baby' meme? That is basically this football game."

Purdue actually led this game 3-0 after one quarter. Then Ohio State scored 34 unanswered points.

Record: 3-0

Maryland over Rutgers

"I honestly have no idea what to expect in this game. Both of these teams have exactly one Big Ten win, and it is over a team that is winless in conference play. In other words, these are not the worst teams in the conference, but both are quite bad."

I should have known that the only Big Ten team Maryland is capable of beating is USC.

Record: 3-1

Oregon over Iowa

"This is the best team that Iowa has had in a few years, but Oregon is simply better."

Like with Indiana, it was closer than I expected, but Oregon found a way to win a tough game on the road.

Record: 4-1

Washington over Wisconsin

"Who is the real UW? Probably Washington, because unlike Wisconsin, they actually have a Big Ten W this season."

The good news for Wisconsin fans is that the Badgers finally won a conference game. The bad news is that it was an ugly 13-10 win, so gas is still full price this week.

Record: 4-2

UCLA over Nebraska

"In 1997, this would have been a great game. In 2025, it is a battle of interim coach vs. backup quarterback."

Score one for Nebraska's backup quarterback over UCLA's interim coach.

Overall Record: 4-3

Overall Performance

This was a tough week for me, as I was barely above .500. That being said, the circumstances were difficult, as pretty much no one saw the Wisconsin-Washington upset coming, Nebraska and UCLA were both severely depleted, and I had aboslute zero clue what to expect from Rutgers and Maryland. Time to bounce back next week.
