Is Georgia getting help to prepare for Texas Football from fired Florida coach?

Former Florida Gators coach Billy Napier has been seen this week at Georgia Bulldogs practice. Much like Texas quarterback Arch Manning and Alabama QB Ty Simpson sharing intel on teams, Napier could be helping his old friend Kirby Smart beat the Longhorns.
Napier was still coaching the Gators when Florida embarrassed Texas at the Swamp. It was the low point of the season for the Horns and might be the game that keeps UT out of the CFP. But a few weeks later, Florida fired Napier.
Texas coach Steve Sarkisian has mentioned he and Napier are friends. Sark has faced off against Napier three times, once when Napier was at Louisiana-Lafayette and twice against him at Florida. But Napier and Smart worked together, spending four years together on Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama. Sark also had a stint on Saban’s staff, but didn’t overlap with either Smart or Napier.
It seems Napier could be helping Georgia beat Texas like the Gators did in early October. It could be he’s better friends with Smart or he’s trying to help his old school’s biggest rival. Or, as Smart claims, it could just be a visit.
“I mean, people don’t understand relationships in coaches,” Smart said. “Coaches have a brotherhood and a fraternity together, and his dad was good friends with my dad. His dad was really good friends with Coach Bobo, and we all grew up in the state of Georgia with our fathers coaching high school football. They were well-respected people. He’s been a friend for a long time, so he dropped by, yeah, but that was really it.”

Most coaches are at least friendly with each other. Some form a bond that lasts a lifetime, especially if they’ve both been assistants on the same staff together.
Smart and Sark are also friends, but it seems based on mutual respect rather than any past association. “A lot of respect for Sark,” Smart said. “He’s become a good friend of mine. He does a tremendous job. He’s at one of the premier programs in the country. He’s been successful everywhere he’s been. He’s done a great job, and I enjoy his friendship and look forward to another great matchup on Saturday night.”
Smart and Sark meet again Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. CT in Athens.
