The Iowa Hawkeyes continue to come up big on the recruiting trail. As is the norm for this program, Iowa is landing strong commitments in the trenches on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

A recent win for Iowa comes in the form of Reilly Newman, an offensive lineman in the class of 2027 who has committed to the Hawkeyes. The 6-foot-6 product of Lakota West High School and from West Chester, Ohio, expands Iowa's Midwest recruiting footprint with his commitment.

Newman chose Iowa over a handful of other Power Four programs and gives offenisve line coach George Barnett another young, talented skill set to mold, as he has done consistently for the Hawkeyes.

Reilly Newman, a three-star recruit per 247 Sports, is ranked as the No. 28 player in the state of Ohio and the No. 64 offensive tackle in the class of 2027.

Newman chose the Hawkeyes over offers from a long list of Power Four programs, including Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Oregon, Purdue, Stanford, and Vanderbilt.
