The Florida State Seminoles are focused on improving their 2027 recruiting class, which currently has five members. That has not stopped them from also putting in the work with the 2028 recruiting cycle, and they recently hosted Xander Edwards, one of the state's top prospects, on a visit.

Edwards is a four-star running back from Jacksonville, Florida, and already has over a dozen scholarship offers. Teams across the country are recruiting him, but the Seminoles, Florida Gators, and Miami Hurricanes are prioritizing him, he told Steve Wiltfong of Rivals.

This was his second time visiting Tallahassee, and the 6-foot-2, 220-pounder once again had a great time.

“FSU was amazing. “It was awesome seeing how Coach Norvell runs that program and he has been doing such a good job. They showed great hospitality towards me and I’m so excited to be back!”

Edwards is ranked as the No. 256 overall player and No. 18 running back in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 30 player from Florida.

He was unstoppable as a sophomore at Bolles High School, leading them to a 13-2 record and emerging as one of the top running backs in the state. He rushed for 2,629 yards and 44 touchdowns on 265 carries, averaging 9.9 yards per attempt and 175.3 yards per game.
