NORMAN — Oklahoma football lost a prized 2028 commitment.
Micah Rhodes, the No. 2-ranked running back in the 2028 class, announced he has decommitted from the Sooners on Wednesday.
The 5-foot-10, 195-pound prospect had been committed to OU since January. Since then, running backs coach DeMarco Murray has departed the Sooners for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs.
The Houston native visited Norman on Monday.
Rhodes holds offers from most top schools around the country like Georgia, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M and several others. He originally chose the Sooners over the Longhorns and Aggies.
With Rhodes’ decommitment, OU now holds zero 2028 commitments.
