MSU football to host priority 4-star DL prospect on Thursday

Michigan State football is set to host a high-level, priority defensive lineman prospect for an unofficial visit on Thursday.

Nehemiah Ombati of Shakopee, Minn. will visit Michigan State on Thursday. Ombati announced his upcoming visit to Michigan State via a social media post.

Ombati is a four-star defensive lineman, with a recruiting rating of 90.95 in 247Sports’ composite system. He ranks as the No. 34 defensive lineman and No. 2 player from Minnesota in the 2027 class. He is also listed as a top 300 overall prospect, with a ranking of No. 293.

Michigan State has already extended an offer to Ombati, and is one of nearly 15 schools to offer him, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa, Boston College, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and Washington.

Michigan State is one of three schools to also have a schedule official visit with Ombati. He will visit Michigan State on June 5, with also visits scheduled for Minnesota (May 29) and Missouri (June 12) lined up.
