Notre Dame football has started its spring practices, and with that brings recruits back to South Bend.

However, many of those players have already received an offer or have a lasting prior relationship with the coaching staff so much of it is more about continuing what they already have. It’s just the way recruiting goes, and the Irish are playing the game at an elite level right now.

They “started” a few new relationships on Wednesday afternoon, and got some great news from one of its 2027 targets as well. Find out below the most recent updates regarding Notre Dame football recruiting.

Notre Dame offers 2028 WR Owen Johnson

First off, most recruits when announcing an offer, don’t have a personal picture with the head coach, but Johnson does. That’s due to the fact that Freeman has been to his high school many times, as 2026 signees Joey O’Brien and Grayson McKeogh were former teammates at La Salle College. The 5-foot, 10-inch and 180-pounder isn’t ranked yet, but his early offer list that includes Penn State and Oregon, show that he soon will be.

Notre Dame offers 2027 Indiana linebacker Sean Fox

Notre Dame is pretty picky with who they offer in-state, and when one does go out, you have to like their chances. Fox has a great frame at 6-foot, 5-inches and 220-pounds, and plays at one of the most prestigious football high schools in the state, Warren Central. Currently ranked as the No. 281 overall prospect in his class by the 247Sports Composite, the Irish aren’t too late in the process to make a move. Fox is close enough for a quick ride North to South Bend, and we could see him on campus fairly soon following the offer.

Notre Dame makes 2027 WR Julian Caldwell’s top-5

Caldwell is a top-100 prospect in the 247Sports Composite, and he’s scheduled official visits to all of his finalists except for one, Notre Dame. In recruiting, you tend to follow the visits, and for the Irish, this one isn’t looking very good. The Texas native has some easy trips on his list with three in-state finalist, but does have a trip to Oregon scheduled. It just could mean that he’s trying to figure out when is a good date to come, as he just recently was in town for a Junior Day. it was Caldwell’s first time in South Bend, and on the other side of the coin, you could take that as a positive. He’ll still need to schedule the official for his recruitment to take him to Notre Dame.
