The Wisconsin Badgers football program has gone all-in on recruiting the best in-state talent.

Now, the program is focused on four-star athlete Cooper Ohnmacht out of Kansas.

The Great Bend High School athlete is listed as the No. 2 player in his state and is the No. 9 athlete in the Rivals300. While 247Sports’ Tyler Calvaruso has logged an expert prediction he’ll commit to Penn State, Wisconsin did secure an official visit with the 6-foot-185-pound recruit, who would likely be a safety for the Badgers.

For what it’s worth, Ohnmacht is fresh off an unofficial visit with the program at the end of March. Now, he’s set an OV for June 11-14.

Ohnmacht is fresh off a junior season where he was named First-Team All-State along with First-Team All-WAC as both a safety and wide receiver.

Ohnmacht recorded 52 receptions for 755 yards with eight touchdowns in his junior season. If that’s not enough, he added 56 tackles, two tackles for loss, five interceptions, and two defensive touchdowns, along with a punt return and kick return touchdown.
