Initially joining the college ranks as a cornerback, McDaniels only received one offer, which was from Syracuse, where he was converted to a safety.

Career Stats

Ibn McDaniels appeared in 15 games with the Syracuse Orange, but didn’t produce much, totaling just four tackles and one pass defensed in two years.

Depth Chart Overview

There is a lot of incoming safety talent for Penn State, so McDaniels will likely be used as a depth piece. But with nothing about the position being solidified, there is always a chance that he develops rapidly and becomes a major player on the defense.

A two-way player in high school, McDaniels racked up 744 receiving yards to go along with eight touchdowns in his senior season.
