Chase Sowell originally committed and started his college football career with Iowa State under current Penn State head coach Matt Campbell. Sowell was among the many Cyclones players who followed Campbell to Penn State during the offseason following the 2025 season.

Career Stats

Chase Sowell has appeared in 36 games throughout his collegiate career and amassed 1,823 yards and six touchdowns with 115 receptions to boot. He most notably led East Carolina in receiving yards in 2023 and was named the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year with Iowa State in 2025.

Depth Chart Overview

Chase Sowell is the projected starting X wide receiver for the Nittany Lions and the presumptive WR1. His size and experience is expected to carry over from his time in Ames under Matt Campbell.
