The Florida State Seminoles are working to add some more defensive linemen to their 2027 recruiting class, and arguable their top in-state target is Santana Harvey, a four-star prospect from Lakeland, Florida.

While his father, Derrick, played at Florida, the Seminoles have been a major factor in his recruitment for quite some time, and hosted him on a visit Tuesday, his second trip to Tallahassee this year. He spoke with Zach Blostein of Noles247 after the visit and revealed that FSU is now one of the top schools in his recruitment.

"They're definitely top," he said. "As of right now, Florida State is the top of my recruitment. Very top, I would say top two."

The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder went on to explain why.

"Because every time I come back to Florida State, I just feel the love and the plans that they have for me to see me in Florida State football," Harvey said. "It's very intriguing and I feel like it's a good fit."

Harvey did not say who the other school is, but he has official visits scheduled with the Clemson Tigers (May 29), Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (June 9), and Notre Dame Fighting Irish (June 19). His official visit with FSU is on June 5.

He is ranked as the No. 285 overall player and No. 34 defensive lineman in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 27 player from Florida. He is the third-highest-ranked defensive lineman from Florida, and the highest that FSU has a shot to land.
