NORMAN — OU football could be without two of its starting defensive linemen on Saturday at No. 4 Alabama.
Jayden Jackson and R Mason Thomas were listed on Wednesday's availability report as questionable. Thomas injured himself during a 71-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in the first quarter of the Sooners' win over Tennessee on Nov. 1.
Linebacker Kobie McKinzie, who injured his groin against Mississippi on Oct. 25, was listed as probable to play against the Crimson Tide. McKinzie suited up and tried to give it a go in warmups before sitting out against the Volunteers.
Also on the availability report was wide receiver Keontez Lewis and offensive lineman Derek Simmons as probable.
Lewis collided with a brick wall outside OU's end zone — which has since had padding added to it — against Kent State on Oct. 4 and was stretchered off the field. He caught two passes for 16 yards a week later against Texas, but hasn't seen the field since.
On the positive side for the Sooners, offensive lineman Logan Howland and defensive back Gentry Williams will be available to play against Alabama.
Running backs Jovantae Barnes and Taylor Tatum were listed as questionable.
Two Alabama defensive starters — DaShawn Jones and Qua Russaw — were listed on the report.
