The Auburn Tigers remain a heavy player in the recruitment of four-star quarterback Davin Davidson hours before his commitment announcement.
Davidson, a four-star quarterback from Cardinal Mooney High School in Sarasota, Florida, will announce his commitment on Thursday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. CT. Auburn is in the hunt for Davidson, joining SEC rivals Florida, Georgia, and Kentucky.
The 6-6, 215-pound quarterback passed for 2,360 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior at Cardinal Mooney last season, and added 81 yards on the ground. Rivals' scouts compare Mooney to former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman due to being a "jumbo quarterback prospect with a big league arm." He is the No. 12 quarterback from the 2027 class and is the No. 13 overall recruit from Florida in the cycle.
Auburn will look to land Davidson after missing out on Israel Abrams earlier this month. Watch Davidson's announcement at 6:30 p.m. by clicking here.
