Penn State joins Georgia, Miami in sweepstakes for Class of 2029 WR

After receiving a slew of commitments from defensive players in the last few weeks, Penn State has begun to shift their focus towards the offense. That side of the ball struggled this past season after former offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki took the unit to new heights in his first year with the team. The regression can partially be attributed to injuries, but the offense wasn’t humming even when they were at full strength.

The new regime is looking to change that after securing a commitment from four-star wide receiver Landon Blum and being in the mix for one of the nation’s top quarterbacks. They are now awaiting decisions from a couple of blue-chip offensive prospects, but that hasn’t stopped them from looking ahead to the future. Ryan Snyder of On3 announced today that the Nittany Lions have extended an offer to wide receiver Corey Miller from the Class of 2029.

Miller won’t see a college football field for three years, so recruiting organizations haven’t ranked him yet. The high-school standout doesn’t even have stats available yet, so his 40-yard dash is the only metric we have to gauge his talent.

Miller had a 4.6-second time, which is exceptional for someone his age. Another potential indicator of his pedigree is the other teams that are interested in him. The 6-0 receiver has offers from 19 schools already, with the most notable being the Georgia Bulldogs and Miami Hurricanes.

It will be a long time before Miller officially commits anywhere, but Matt Campbell and his staff should start building a meaningful relationship with him now because the sky is the limit for him.
