Only hours following the program's annual "A-Day" spring scrimmage, Alabama football has reportedly landed an in-state commitment from 2027 defensive lineman Avrian "AJ" Pauley, per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett

Pauley is an extremely talented lineman that serves as an excellent addition to Alabama’s 2027 recruiting class. At 6-foot-5, 255 pounds, Pauley chose the Crimson Tide over Florida State, Michigan, and Ole Miss, per Fawcett, as the lineman could quickly prove to be an excellent fit on the Alabama defense in 2027.

Pauley was in attendance for the Crimson Tide’s annual “A-Day” event in Tuscaloosa as well, as the rising star has officially decided to play at Alabama during his freshman campaign in 2027.

Pauley is currently ranked as the No. 64 defensive lineman and the No. 539 overall player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is ranked as the No. 21 overall prospect out of Alabama as well where the Mobile native attends McGill Toolen High School.

Alabama continues to target a plethora of talent from the class of 2027, as Pauley has become the latest to commit to the Crimson Tide.
