The offensive line has been an issue for the Auburn Tigers for a few years now. That was not just a Hugh Freeze issue, but it dates back to Gus Malzahn's final years. The last time an Auburn offensive lineman was drafted was in 2020, when Jack Driscoll and Prince Tega Wanogho were picked in the 4th and 6th rounds of the NFL draft. For a program like Auburn, that is not acceptable.

Alex Golesh and his staff are looking to change the play of the Tigers' offensive front. On Tuesday, 2027, three-star offensive lineman Elijah Morrison named Auburn as one of his top five teams, according to Benjamin Wolk of 247Sports. The other teams in his top five are Clemson, Georgia, Florida State, and NC State. Morrison is from Dacula, Georgia, where he attends Hebron Christian. He is rated as the No. 23 interior offensive lineman and the No. 45 player in Georgia. He already has the size to play offensive line in college football, with a height of 6-4 and a weight of 305.

Auburn only has two players committed to the 2027 recruiting class with four-star defensive lineman Donivan Moore and three-star tight end Trae Proctor. Those two players have the Tigers ranked No. 57 according to 247Sports. For the 2026 recruiting class, Auburn signed two interior offensive linemen. Both were three-star players from Georgia, with Parker Pritchett and Bear McWhorter.
