Once again, the injury bug has bitten the Florida Gators ahead of their college football Week 12 matchup with the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford, Mississippi.
In Wednesday night's opening SEC availability report for this Saturday night's game, the Orange and Blue have nine players listed as out for the game, along with a pair who are questionable and one who is doubtful. That brings the total of potential voids on the roster to a full dozen, while Ole Miss has just one player out and three questionable.
Running back Ja'Kobi Jackson, wide receivers Eugene Wilson III and Dallas Wilson, edge rusher LJ McCray, linebacker Ty Jackson, and defensive backs Aaron Gates, Dijon Johnson, Micheal Caraway Jr. and Javion Toombs, all are among those who are out for the SEC showdown. Offensive lineman Roderick Kearney and wide receiver Taylor Spierto were listed as questionable, while defensive tackle Caleb Banks — who is recovering from foot surgery after a Week 3 injury — is the lone Gator assigned doubtful status.
Running back Treyaun Webb and linebacker Grayson Howard were removed from the availability report this week, suggesting they should be available to play this Saturday.
