Indiana football is in the news once again with a new spat with Alabama months after the Hoosiers’ 38-3 demolition of the Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl Game.
Former Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson appeared on a podcast in the leadup to the NFL Draft this week and was asked about the Tide’s performance against the Hoosiers in January. He said that, while Alabama understood what Indiana was running on defense, the Hoosiers were so well coached that they just couldn’t be stopped.
Indiana defensive coordinator Bryant Haines, who held the sport’s standard bearer to a field goal after losing one of his top players following the Big Ten Championship, took issue with that assessment.
