NCAAF College Football News, Photos, Stats, Scores, Schedule & Videos...

We're coming up on another end to a spectacular week in the 2026 Notre Dame offseason. Today, we covered a wide variety of different topics ahead of our Friday free-for-all mailbag. The 95th annual Blue Gold game kicks off this Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM and we dive into what we want to see on both side of the ball and the questions we hope to get answered throughout the offseason. This is always a fun time of year when spring training comes to a close as we inch closer to the start of the 2026 season.

The 2026 NFL Draft also kicks off tonight and in part two of today's show, we talk about some of the final mock drafts that have been released, the outlook for Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price along with some of draft talk. We wrapped up today's show looking at the SEC now that spring training has come to a close and talk through some key storylines, teams we like and teams we still have questions about. Don't miss out on another exciting discussion on today's episode of the Irish Breakdown Podcast.

Here are some of the main topics we discussed on today's show:

On What We're Looking To See From The Offense In The Blue Gold Game

"Biggest thing is the offensive line. We came into the offseason hoping to see a certain lineup along the offensive line and that's what we got to see on the first day of spring practice. Now, we will get to see them in a game-like setting and I hope that it continues to gel. This will be the fan's first opportunity to see what this unit is capable of and what they look like going into the season. I'm excited to watch the big guys up front get a push in the run game and protect the quarterback against a very talented defensive line."

On What We're Looking To See From The Defense In The Blue Gold Game

"I'm excited to watch the young defensive lineman make some plays man. Players like Rodney Dunham and Ebenezer Ewetade have had really good springs and I'm excited to watch them for the first time inside of Notre Dame Stadium. Elijah Golden also has the opportunity to make some plays Saturday afternoon. And I know he's not a new guy, but I'm really looking forward to watching Keon Keeley run out of the tunnel for the first time on Saturday. He's had a long journey back to Notre Dame and I hope he's able to make some plays and enjoy the moment on Saturday. Really, all the young players on the defensive side of the ball have the opportunity to go out and make some plays, but the defensive line and secondary in particular are going to have some fun Saturday afternoon."
