The Cleveland Browns added two key players to support Shedeur Sanders and the offense next season. After taking Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano with the No. 9 overall pick, Cleveland took Texas A&M's KC Concepcion at No. 24.
The Aggies leading receiver was a first-team Associated Press All-American (All-Purpose). First-team All-SEC WR and All-Purpose. He won the Paul Hornung Award (nation's most versatile player). Tied for third in the FBS with a pair of punt returns for touchdowns, Concepcion also racked up 61 receptions, 919 receiving yards (15.1 per), and nine receiving scores.
This is all good news for Sanders and what the Browns are trying to accomplish. While Concepcion will be key on special teams, this loads up the offense with another weapon as well. Sanders had a similar player in LaJohntay Wester at Colorado, who's now with the Baltimore Ravens. Not a bad first round for the Browns with arguably the top offensive tackle to protect Sanders as well.
Concepcion might have a bit of a curve, but should be able to pick up details quickly. In his 38 collegiate games between NC State and Texas A&M, Concepcion recorded 185 catches for 2,218 yards with 25 touchdowns.
