OUTLOOK
Blue-White Weekend gets a nice start on the recruiting front with this one. For much of Robbins’ recruitment, this looked like a regional battle between Penn State, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Boston College, etc. But recently in early April, he landed offers from Ohio State and Indiana that made this recruitment a bit more complicated for Penn State. Ohio State specifically with offensive line coach Tyler Bowen legitimately pushed here, but the Nittany Lions held the Buckeyes off and secured Robbins’ commitment.
This can be said about the large majority of commits, but Robbins is an s-tier prospect from a size perspective. He’s a very legitimate 6-foot-7 and reports an 84.5-inch wingspan, making him just a massive tackle prospect. Not an elite athlete or extremely fluid mover, but certainly a functional one. I actually watched his basketball highlights and he’s got the old man game down in the post, showing off impressive feet and coordination that certainly translates to the football field.
