Former Alabama linebacker Justin Jefferson has been drafted by the Cleveland Browns.

Jefferson was nothing short of a superstar throughout his three-year tenure at Alabama. The star linebacker recorded 85 total tackles, six TFL and three sacks during his senior campaign in Tuscaloosa, as Jefferson will now turn his full attention towards his role on the Browns next season.

The former Crimson Tide star was selected with the No. 149 overall pick in the fifth round, as Jefferson could undoubtedly emerge as one of the true sleeper picks from this weekend’s draft.

At 6-foot-1, 227 pounds, Jefferson is a polarizing prospect that could begin to make an impact for the Browns as soon as Week 1. The linebacker was one of the top remaining players available on the board, and Cleveland was able to take full advantage and draft Jefferson in the fifth round.

Alabama continues to produce elite NFL talent on both sides of the football year after year, as Jefferson could easily begin to thrive in Cleveland alongside Parker Brailsford, who was taken by the Browns a few picks prior.
