Top Alabama target, 5-star quarterback announces commitment decision

One of the nation's most coveted high school football recruits is now officially a member of Alabama football's 2027 recruiting class.

A top Alabama target, Elijah Haven has officially made a decision, committing to the Crimson Tide on Saturday, per Rivals' Hayes Fawcett. Haven announced his commitment to Alabama over Georgia.

A massive addition to Alabama's 2027 class, Haven currently ranks as the nation's No. 22 overall prospect, as well as the No. 1 quarterback nationally, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. Rated as a five-star prospect, Haven is also the No. 4 player in the state of Louisiana where he attends Dunham School.

With the commitment of Haven, Alabama's 2027 recruiting class now features two quarterbacks, with the five-star joining in-state standout Trent Seaborn. Seaborn is rated as a four-star prospect out of Thompson High School in Alabama, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Haven is now the top ranked recruit in Alabama's 2027 class, as well as one of the highest-rated quarterbacks to ever commit to Alabama. The lone quarterbacks rated higher as a recruit than Haven were Keelon Russell, Bryce Young, Brodie Croyle, and Julian Sayin, per 247Sports.
