Michigan State football has locked in an official visit from an intriguing linebacker prospect from Illinois.
Last week, Matthew Brady of Bloomington, Ill. picked up an offer from the Spartans, and now, he’s planning a visit to Michigan State. Brady announced on Wednesday that he’ll be taking an official visit to Michigan State this summer. According to the social media post from Brady, his official visit to Michigan State will be on May 29.
Brady is listed at 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, and is rated as a three-star prospect with a recruiting rating of 85 on 247Sports. He is ranked as the No. 108 linebacker and No. 41 player from Illinois in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2027 class.
Michigan State is one of the first power four schools to extend an offer to Brady, according to 247Sports. He also holds notable offers from Wisconsin, Minnesota and Virginia Tech, and group of six offers from Army, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois, Toledo, Western Michigan and Wyoming.
Michigan State is the first reported school to line up an official visit with Brady. With his visit coming during the first weekend of official visits this summer, don’t be surprised if the Spartans are able to secure a commitment from him before we turn the page to June.
