According to Rivals' Hayes Fawcett, the Alabama Crimson Tide have reportedly landed a commitment from Charles Scott Jr., a quarterback in the 2028 recruiting cycle.
Per Fawcett, Scott chose the Crimson Tide over a list of finalists that also included Georgia, Maryland, and Virginia Tech.
Scott is currently ranked as the nation's No. 432 overall player in the 2028 recruiting cycle, as well as the No. 34 quarterback nationally, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. Rated as a three-star recruit, Scott is also ranked as the No. 10 player in the state of Virginia where he attends Huguenot High School.
Alabama's newest commit is also coming off a stellar sophomore season at Huguenot where he completed 62.7% of passes across 13 games for 3,594 yards. Scott also held a 41:4 TD:INT ratio, as well as rushed for eight additional scores.
The three-star quarterback is the first player to commit to Alabama from the 2028 class.
