Summer isn’t quite here, but Eli Drinkwitz and his staff have been hot on the recruiting trail, especially in local parts.
On Friday morning, 3-star IOL recruit Luke Injaychock announced his commitment to the Tigers, becoming the seventh player from Illinois or Missouri to commit in the past two months.
Injaychock is seen as a rising recruit going into his senior year, and he boasts offers from a number of prominent Big 10 programs.

As you might expect from a 6’5”, 285 pound offensive lineman in high school, Injaychock is already a dominant force at his playing level. He does an exceptional job of leveraging his height against smaller linemen, putting more than his fair share of defenders on the ground at the point of contact. His motor is good too — he’s more inclined to finish his blocks than rely on his size advantage, which bodes well for the next phase of his development.
Like many linemen, the next step for Injaychock will be adding muscle to his frame. At 6’5” to 6’6”, you would hope that he could get to at least 300 pounds. He’s not the most explosive lineman, so he’ll need to rely on his technique and strength to get by. Luckily, he’s already showing good instincts at a young age. He has the makings of an SEC starter if he’s able to stick with the program the staff lays out for him.
