2027 offensive tackle from Atlanta names Tennessee football in top 10 schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2027 football signing class.
Four-star offensive tackle Joshua Sam-Epelle named Tennessee in his top 10 schools, along with Miami, South Carolina, Georgia, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Alabama, Ole Miss and Georgia Tech, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.
The 6-foot-9, 340-pound prospect is from Douglas County High School in Douglasville, Georgia. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 5 offensive tackle in the class and No. 3 player in Georgia.
Tennessee offered Sam-Epelle a scholarship on May 6, 2024. He unofficially visited Tennessee for the Vols’ football game versus Oklahoma on Nov. 1.
Auburn was the first school to offer Sam-Epelle a scholarship on March 21, 2024. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Appalachian State, UCF, USF, Arkansas, SMU, Marshall, Pittsburgh, Georgia State, Florida State, Colorado, Florida, Penn State, North Carolina, Indiana, Memphis, Charlotte, Arizona, Duke, Mississippi State, UCLA and Purdue.
Tennessee has three commitments in its 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, cornerback Kamauri Whitfield and offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo.
