The Auburn Tigers are trending positively towards landing a three-star quarterback from the 2027 class.
Auburn offered three-star quarterback Gary Chatman Jr in April, and has quickly climbed the ladder in his recruitment. So much so, that the Tigers are now the favorite to land Chatman following his recent decommitment from Wake Forest. A trio of Rivals insiders has recently submitted predictions favoring Chapman committing to Auburn.
Chad Simmons, Steve Wiltfong, and Jeffrey Lee of Rivals all submitted predictions on Friday that favor Auburn adding Chapman to their 2027 recruiting class, which increases its chances of landing Chatman to 99% in Rivals' Recruiting Prediction Machine. Should these predictions come true, Chatman will be the first quarterback to sign with Auburn's 2027 recruiting class.
Chatman is the No. 69 quarterback in the 2027 recruiting cycle according to Rivals' Industry Rankings, and the No. 113 overall player from the state of Georgia out of Brookwood High School in Gwinnett County. Auburn currently holds the nation's No. 17 recruiting class and the No. 4 class in the SEC with five commitments, led by four-star running back Myson Johnson-Cook.
