One of Florida State’s top targets in the 2027 class, three-star offensive lineman Shavezz Dixon, has a plethora of official visits on the horizon. All of them will be at programs within the ACC.
Dixon has already visited the Virginia Cavaliers. He’ll also take visits to the Pittsburgh Panthers, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, North Carolina Tar Heels, and Florida State Seminoles.
A few weeks ago, Dixon named FSU as one of his top five schools, which is pretty impressive since the Seminoles didn’t make him an offer until his Junior Day trip in January. He spoke in detail recently about why he’s high on Florida State.
“[Head coach Mike] Norvell, [Offensive Line Coach Herb] Hand. Coach Hand, very developing guy. He’s gonna get after it with you. He’s gonna develop you and push you to the limit, so that stood out to me,” Dixon told Noles247.
Dixon is the No. 580 overall player and the No. 36 interior offensive lineman according to the 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Georgia, he’s ranked as the No. 67 prospect.
July 8 is when Dixon will make his decision. Florida State will have one of its final two visits, which gives them a great shot to come away with a commitment from the 6-foot-4, 325-pounder. The Seminoles do not have an offensive lineman committed in their 2027 recruiting class.
