One of Alabama’s interior defensive linemen is progressing well in his injury recovery according to his trainer.
The Alabama Crimson Tide hit the transfer portal hard in an effort to rebuild its trenches from the ground up after a disappointing 2025 season. When it came to stopping the run and rushing the football, change was needed, so external additions were made.
But for Alabama, there are always players waiting in the wings. Spring ball proved that, as guys like Justin Hill came out and showed they can be integral parts of the defense. Well, for Alabama DL Jeremiah Beaman, it’s about getting healthy, something his trainer says he’s inching towards.
Jeremiah Beaman Facts
- Alabama native from Birmingham.
- Played high school football at Parker.
- Was a 5-star recruit according to PrepStar.
Jeremiah Beaman is coming back stronger in 2026
“I pretty much looked at him and told him, ‘Hey, man, everything happens according to God’s plan,'” Beaman’s trainer Leonard Stephens told On3. “But I said that I won’t be letting up on you this May. So, this May, he’s in there with me every day, all day. He’ll get to the facility about 10, and he doesn’t leave until about 4 or 5. So, we’re working on core, changing direction, [plyometrics].”
“I won’t say we’ve changed on what we’re doing. We’re probably lightening up on reps or focused more on isolation workout. But to me, he’s in a really good space. I think the uphill battle from here is not necessarily anything just physical. It’s more of the mental, building back that confidence and understanding that, hey, your knee is stronger than it was before.”
What Beaman can do for Alabama in 2026
Before suffering an ACL injury in practice last season, Beaman served as the backup nose tackle for the Crimson Tide. With Tim Keenan gone for the NFL, that role is now occupied by London Simmons.
However, should Beaman continue to progress and build off a shallow spring ball with a stacked fall camp, there is a chance we see more of a by-committee approach at the point of Alabama’s defense in 2026.
