College GameDay will be in attendance when the Texas Longhorns and Ohio State Buckeyes face off in one of the most anticipated non-conference matchups of the season on Sept. 12. And unlike last year, when the Longhorns and the Buckeyes had an early kickoff in Columbus, Steve Sarkisian and Ryan Day will go head to head in prime time with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Central on ABC, the SEC and ESPN announced on Tuesday.
The sixth all-time meeting between the two college football powerhouses marks the third straight season Texas and Ohio State have played with the Buckeyes beating the Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl and in Columbus during the 2025 calendar year.
The SEC and ESPN also announced the game time for the Lone Star Showdown on Nov. 27 — when Texas travels to College Station to face Texas A&M, kick is set for 6:30 p.m. Central on ABC, the second straight year the Horns and Aggies play on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Texas leads the series that began in 1894, 78-37-5.
